It's a Roadhouse bar with a salad bar and great food. When I went the wait staff was NOT organized. They were nice but no one even told my son or I that a salad bar came with our meals till we were almost done eating. There were three young girls taking care of people and they did an ok job, but again not exactly a well oiled machine. I'm giving four stars because it was some of the best food I have had in Alaska. By far the best steak in Alaska, but not sure I'd say best steak in USA. Our steaks were quite good (well seasoned and tender) and cooked as we ordered them. This is a REAL road house. A true Alaskan establishment with history dating back before the highway and bridge. A locals hangout that welcomes All. Fantastic steaks and burgers cooked to perfection by people who live here. Do not pass it by, stop and experience the Alaska that is still true. What a great place. Nice Lodge, great restaurant, liquor store. Also a "take one and leave one" book exchange and a coin operated drinking water spigot. Great people and a fun time. Great atmosphere. Great service. Best steaks and burgers around. Wide variety of dining choices. Two thumbs up! I was station at Clear Air Force Station 1974 an 1975. Remember all the great times their I went over the log twice. I remember they had the best burritos in the area the best hot sauce. Coming back to Alaska for a visit in June of this year plan to stop in for a cold one.
